From your youtube videos you need to learn better car control as you're constantly over braking and please learn that you still have to drive around mini roundabouts not over them .

I don't know about the driver of the van but you need a physics lesson if you thought he was going to roll his van over.

The center of gravity needs to move outside the base of support which at no point in this video was that even remotley close . Together will elemntary physics theres alot of suspension , anti roll bars e.t.c .

Hope this sets your mind at ease and you can go back to worrying about immigrants bringing your house price down captain sensationalist .

Thank you for the physics lesson.

What is not clear from the video is how violently the driver was turning the van.
When he swung to the right I could see the amount of body roll to the left, the nearside wheels ‘tucking under’ and the body lifting from the offside wheels which where on the point of lifting. This results in most of the vehicle weight on the nearside of the vehicle which is trying to turn right but with the momentum still in the original direction of travel. Should a wheel hit a defect in the road, such as a pothole (and there are plenty of those around) that would stop or reduce movement of the wheel, the body will keep moving and pivot over the wheel, hence roll.

By the same token the main causes of skidding are:-
· Excessive speed for the existing circumstances
· Coarse steering in relation to speed, which in itself is not excessive
· Harsh, excessive acceleration
· Excessive or sudden braking
Again, during this manouvre most of the weight is on one side of the vehicle increasing grip that side whilst decreasing grip the other side. This alone can induce a skid, let alone any oil diesel or water that may be on the road. He was also tailgating, just after the second manouvre he was on the brakes in order not to go into the vehicle in front, the van body was still rocking at this point.

Yes good suspension and anti roll bars are designed to reduce the risk, but only if they are in good working order and well maintained.
However,a van with 118,000+ miles on the clock with numerous MOT advisory notices or fails related to suspension and chassis rot:-

Does not appear to be in the best kept condition to be treated as a formula one car....

Is this really a suitable way for this vehicle to be driven on a busy narrow public road with cars parked both sides?
Sounds like you think there is nothing wrong with his manner of driving.

I don't know what this idiot thought he was playing at but I ended up keeping a good distance and had to zoom in on the video.
He was tailgating the vehicles in front and going around the pedestrian islands he was swinging so hard on the steering on both directions I really thought he was going to roll it. And with two passengers on board as well. Total loon.
