I see what you are saying - but I think we are on the same page in essence! I guess this is a really good lesson to us all that blind spots can be can hide things very well!

Not sure who was at fault here. You weren't visible behind the black SUV. If you had of slowed down and followed the lane correctly rather than cutting over, we could have seen you and braked accordingly.

Well I wasn't driving at the time. We weren't doing that speed. The GPS speed reading is not accurate. We were doing about 20mph, expecting to be able to go past the black SUV. YC63CZN straddled both sides a little early, thus we couldn't see them. If they were a little bit further to the left as they approached, then it would maybe help. I agree that the unnamed driver was going a little fast and if they can't see clearly then they should slow down, prepare to stop. That's what I'd do.

Unfortunately - I would have to say it wasn't the fault of YC63 CZN.

There is a sign in the first picture that says cars coming towards you have right of way - Therefore the responsibility of making sure the road is clear is on you... You have pointed out you couldn't see behind the Black SUV enough to see YC63 CZN, which is enough proof to say you didn't have a clear enough view to approach the hazard for the speed you were travelling (43km/h - 27 mph)... his speed and position would be no defence for your failure to anticipate or fully ensure the road was clear.

His position was pretty good actually, given the bends before and after the bridge and also that he has right of way, it would've increased his visibility going into the hazard.

Can you post the entire video? I would have interested to have seen the few seconds leading up to your first video still...

If you had hit the white Nissan, sadly you would've been deemed at fault. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(
