This specimen started by tailgating us in the fast lane on the A14 (despite us already being over the speed limit); apparently, not getting his way wounded his ego. So, naturally, he swerved into the left lane to try and overtake us.
Once we moved to the left, he pulled up on our right, making desperate gestures for us to pull over, presumably because his feelings were hurt.
But the pièce de résistance? He took the next exit, rejoined the A14, and went out of his way to catch up to us again, like a moth to a flame. He even pulled over at a lay-by, eagerly waiting for us to pass so he could get behind us again—unfortunately for him, we lost him.
