Disappointed to see so many clips of drivers abusing pedestrians. Have they passed their tests? Read the Highway code? Pedestrians are Road users too. If they are crossing and already in the road when a car arrives it's up to the Car driver to wait till its safe to proceed. It is NOT up to pedestrians to hurry up and get out of the way of impatient idiots.
First there was no punishment pass. The red car passed quite slowly and carefully as far as I can see.
If anything you were the one doing punishment cycling. There are long sections entirely free of cars where it would be common courtesy to let cars flow by moving left a bit without compromising your safety, and plenty of room to move safely back to the right when needed.
The tough bit is ahead where the road narrows dangerously for cyclists in both directions.
How am I qualified to comment? I cycle this same road daily so I know it well.
It seems your head was too busy swivelling to admire the river Cam to concentrate on cycling.
Being entitled to take the lane and all that does not mean it should dislodge all common sense.
Front Cam confirms you are lane hogging. No excuse for the undertake but pot, kettle and black come to mind. Just because everyone else is in the right lane does not mean you have to stick with them.

I am in the outside lane when you see he changes lane then accelerates past about 4 or 5 cars at speed.

I Have to use Perkins Parkway every day to join the A1 and to get back home. I always find it the worst part of my journey, impatient, dangerous and speeding drivers cutting across from the second lane to exit as you describe, also those joining from the slip roads are normally going much faster than the traffic on the Parkway just so they can speed across other vehicles to the inside lane.
Have you noticed that many of the cars are poorly maintained old bangers with those silly juvenile , noisy and useless big cheapo tailpipes, I suspect these are just driving locally as they seem to join then leave at the next exit (after causing mayhem) - So why the need to drive like an imbecile?!!
