On the phone and the rear plate is obstructed by a ladder. Found out that the vehicle also has no tax as it ran out on the 1st January, so this driver is uninsured as well!

This is why I wouldn't cycle.. you literally have to have eyes up your ass, and think for other people. You are constantly on the receiving end of mindless abuse including illogical rants about non-existent "road tax". It's very dangerous and frustrating and it's made all the worse by the attitude of the government towards people on bikes. And this will only get worse as more people come to live here. The system needs an overhaul including the Highway Code to make it clear to everyone: cyclists are equals.
