WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ROAD PARKING?
Pedestrians must walk on the road. Blind people and wheelchairs are inconvenienced by this poor pavement parking. Mothers with prams cannot pass the pavement. Read the Highway Code and go back and take your driving test again. You certainly won't pass your driving test if you just touch a pavement, regardless of pavement parking.

So it looks as though this is 2 lanes into one, and the rangerover hasn't obeyed the highway code and not merged - the astra being in front has the right of way, the range rover would have been able to see this, but thought he/she could use their size to bully their way along..
Given this evidence, the range rover driver is a massive prick, and if had crashed I know who's insurance would be paying out...
