I was queuing on a busy roundabout in the morning rush hour, leaving space for cars to enter the roundabout. When it was safe to do so, I moved towards my exit, but a blue Mercedes entered the roundabout where there was no room to do so, and cut in front of me. When I looked at the driver, (not glared, just looked!), she scowled and stuck an aggressive middle finger up at me. A little further on, she abruptly changed lane in order to overtake several cars, before cutting in front of them in order to enter another roundabout. This placed her in the wrong lane for her exit, so she again overtook several cars on the roundabout before cutting in front of them in order to exit the roundabout. It was a pretty dreadful example of rude, arrogant and dangerous driving.
I parked up in a supermarket car park before this car arrived, on a Sunday afternoon, with barely any cars around me, plenty of spaces and at least 3 on each side of my car when I arrived. I come back out to my car, to this car parked on the line and a significant scratch on my driver's door possible caused by getting kids out of the back seat. Annoyed because I parked away from the other cars to avoid this kind of situation. NB. If you have kids to get out the back of the car and there's plenty of spaces in the car park, maybe choose one amongst other free spaces rather than next to another car. If you do accidentally damage someone's car, the do the decent thing and own up, leave a note, offer to buy them some scratch repair stuff. Alternatively, if you're going to run off, expect a call from your insurance company.
I couldn't see the driver here, although not tbe first time ive come across this vehicle, but if I had to guess would say it was a 12 year old playing grown up. Crawling along at tricycle speed with zero knowledge of the highway code. No spacial awareness of any kind, no lane discipline. No idea how to use a roundabout or how to overtake parked cars. And worse of all there was, what I can only guess at thanks to the blacked out windows, a horde of animals or kids doing god knows what inside! Licence from a Christmas cracker maybe? Or maybe a horde of junkies? Who knows. Certainly shouldn't be on the road either way.
