In all fairness to the driver, cars in the right lane can get awfully close on a roundabout before you come off and they continue on. As the Audi didn't indicate, I can see why he didn't think to give them space. The fact that he almost kerbed his car probably means he would have kept his distance if he had an inkling they would come off at that exit too.
