woman in a silver volvo RJ07 FNY decided as I was on a motorcycle I'd have to avoid her or get hurt, as she was too important to wait at the give way line before turning out across my path on a main road from a side road.

Tailgating southbound from end of filter lane near the new M&S on A61 Harrogate towards end of 30mph zone. As soon as I entered the 50mph zone at Almsford Bank (which is on a downhill, S-bend known for accidents, and is demarcated by two sets of double whites surrounding diagonals), he overtook at speed. He got my little 206's horn throughout his maneouvre.
There's a reason for those lines, and people in cars just as fast as his - Mercedes-Benz C Class AMG 6.2L, 2008 registration - have died there over the past few years. Why risk somebody's life just because you want to get two seconds further down the road?
