I think the van driver's intentions are good. Only thing I disagree with him is the way he pulled alongside the riders. Unfortunately where I live a lot of riders are nowhere near as passive as these and unlike the author would never accept they were in the wrong. Takes a big man to admit he was wrong and the rider did just that.

For once a white van driver is justified at mouthing off. I hate these gangs of pimply pricks on their pathetic little buzzing machines with malodorous emissions and permanent L plates driving like lemmings.
An absolutely awful driver, he cut me up several times only to stop, then get out of his and start swearing and having a go at me. Only to then screach away and run a red light...he doesn't deserve to be on the road.
