Sorry but legally your worse than him if you overtook on the left, in the photo there is nothing in the right lane so why didn't you use that lane to pass? His crime is lane-hogging which has a max penalty of £100 fine and 3 points, your crime however is dangerous drivering which carry a penalty of up to 9 points, a disqualification and £5000 fine. Two wrongs don't make a right, even more so when your wrong is a lot worse than his.
If the obstruction is on his side of the road it’s up to him to stop 🛑 it’s your right of way his insurance should pay for it, have you put this on bookers site??
What a moron - big assumption that he wasn't English either - they all drive like that and a lot of the accidents that we have with lorries are from non UK drivers.
