A black Mercedes Benz E 220 D AMG LINE PREMIUM registration YP67 HEJ has been stolen overnight from Nettleton Road, Ickenham.
Action required please
If you see this vehicle parked up or travelling anywhere please call the Police on 101 giving the registration and stating that it is a stolen vehicle.
If you have a CCTV system which shows this vehicle leaving the Ickenham area or travelling across the Borough, again please call the Police on 101, giving details.
The number of thefts of keyless vehicles by means of "repeater" devices which interact with the keys whilst they are inside your home continues unabated, and yet the solution lies directly in the hands of every vehicle owner by means of a simple crime prevention measure.
If you have a keyless vehicle, purchase a small faraday wallet/bag in which to keep the keys, which will prevent this type of theft. Alternatively keep the keys in a small tin, and in all cases don't keep them directly by the front door. Remember that if you don't take the same precaution for the spare key then you've wasted your time and money protecting the everyday one.
Let's try and eliminate this type of crime by remembering to carry out the above precaution, and a faraday bag would also make an ideal and practical seasonal gift for a friend or family member in the fight against crime.

Although the streets were lit up, all vehicles except this one had their headlights on. This one was seen from towards Scotforth through Lancaster City Centre and along St George’s Quay without any headlights on. What is this driver trying to do? Save the planet?
