I agree 100%. You are letting yourself down here, in my opinion. I think you had a legitimate complaint regarding the lack of passing distance, but then you took it to another level.. ordering people about and calling them names. Doing so risks threats and violence as well as you risk ending up with a public order offense (or worse).
And yes, I also ride a bike and yes, I am close passed on a daily basis. Do you know what the last person did who I politely approached to have a non-threatening quit word? They used their car as a weapon to threaten me and block the road, that and threaten violence.
Why am I saying this, because as many cyclists, drivers and other road users will attest, you have to be careful and think safety first. I do not stop unless I am forced to stop and I keep my distance when approaching anyone. I try not to shout, scream or stick fingers up as any slug of a soclitor would - I guarantee you - use this against you.
