The idiot type drivers will simply view that rules as saying pedestrians don't have right of way at other times. It's the same as not over-taking cyclists if you're turning right at junctions.. they wrongly interpret it as meaning you can when they are turning left or going straight ahead at a cross roads. Some drivers need to understand pedestrians have ultimate priority even if they're being pricks.

I am also in favor of finding their parents and fining them. Let's see that wipe the smile of their faces. If they keep doing it? The fine increases. Still want to be a smart-ass? Your parents get evicted for a week..with NO alternative accommodation. Nothing. You look on many estates in this country and you will see what's going on and why society demands such strong measures.. this ain't kids mucking about this is youths running riot and wrecking those estates from within. I see "shits" like that a lot of times where I live, whether I'm in a car, on my bike or just walking. You complain to them and they come out with abuse, in some cases violence, homophobia, racism.. you name it anything goes. And they don't stop acting like this when they get older.. many a time you'll see people in their 20's..30's even, riding 'kiddies' bikes and acting like complete morons in the hope..that's right the hope..someone will get mad and complain. They are easy as hell to spot because they are primal animals and as such their actions and attitude speak volumes. When I am on my bike I keep the cameras rolling and I would say 80% the reservations are justified.. they will start on literally anyone especially other cyclists who shall we say, have better gear and ride in accordance with the Highway Code. To them all this is just a weakness. They also love coming out at night with no lights, trying to look for easy prey.
Society is sick of them. The police are sick of them. Everyone is sick of them. Fuck them..give them no quarter and if they come at you, use whatever you have at your disposal to defend yourself. Fucking parasitical vermin.

You know what's most pathetic about that cab incident? Things only progressed because it was a 'more serious' incident.
Many have been there: you're in your car or on your bike, and someone drives like a deranged lunatic.. so what do you do? You report it to the police under the expectation they give a shit..many.many times they refuse to attend and refuse to file a report.
Why is this so? Well because they are taught that unless there's a collision and/or fatality, that most things never happen and thus 'crime is down'. And naturally, all this saves on the paper-work.. let the insurers deal with it from a legal perspective rather than let our officers deal with it from a lawful one.

So now you can see WHY in this country we get situations like this occurring and why decent people think serve and protect means everything but. You've got more chance of being fined for dropping litter than stopped for trying to kill people.

let it be known, since it is PUBLIC knowledge, that this driver now has a conviction for assault and thought nothing of driving the way he did; that he is STILL employed by this company. Think about this the next time a member of your family is on a bike and this guy comes up behind them.. think about this the next time you order a cab. Safe, mature, calm? Professional driving? Bullshit. I don't work for any competing company or interest, and I care not what cab company is involved.. it could be the Queen's Royal Guard for all I care. The simple fact is I do not think this thug should be working in this job. He is unstable - dangerous.

.. Well, I too will NOT be using your services in any capacity. I don't give a damn whether it's a cyclist, driver, pedestrian.. your company can't be trusted and saying you're installing CCTV in all cabs makes NO difference when all it takes is one incident like this to show just how much violence you are prepared to tolerate from your employees. It is a matter of trust, see. And you've shown to me that you cannot be trusted.

Disappointed to see so many clips of drivers abusing pedestrians. Have they passed their tests? Read the Highway code? Pedestrians are Road users too. If they are crossing and already in the road when a car arrives it's up to the Car driver to wait till its safe to proceed. It is NOT up to pedestrians to hurry up and get out of the way of impatient idiots.
