Mt Police have decided to take no action so far. Shockingly they processed my report as a road traffic incident and ignored the other allegations of a more violent, criminal nature - but that way they get to close their file, tick their box, pretend they met their targets or whatever. They're not investigating unless someone gets hurt so my suggestion is to punch the other guy if you get a chance - or report even the most minor of injuries when submitting your report.

Yeah, just to point out, all this is aimed at the driver, not the cyclist. I think the driver who acts like this has shit for brains and is a child for resorting to threats when their actions are questioned. If I cycled like a prick I'd expect to have my actions questioned..so it works both ways especially when statistics show a driver is overwhelmingly more likely to kill you than a cyclist....

Shockingly aggressive driver who has no time for cyclists, leaves them nowhere enough room whilst passing in his hurry to get to the next set of lights. And when being told he should put his mobile phone down, especially whilst driving with his child in the back, he threatens actual assault before driving his vehicle at you in a premeditated attempt to cause injury.

Driving whilst using a phone is..duh.. not only illegal but also dangerous to the point where it gets people killed, cyclists included. Shit for brains.
