The bike was travelling10-15mph ahead of traffic, recommended filtering speed.. speed however was irrelevant.. whether the bike was going 20mph 50mph or 70mph, if the biker found himself in the same position, the same incident would of occurred.. why? because the driver did not perform the most basic of requirments Mirror - signal - manouvre. The biker here was the individual whom avoided it being an accident, so therefore his riding was more than sufficient. "time to think car" what a stupid statement?! do you know why they say think bike? because many do not!! of course a biker is going to think car you prat! they're the majority on the road!! they're not hard to miss.. where as evidently, bikes are.

Filtering on a motorway is always dangerous and must always be done with caution, I'm not saying the motorist is not in the wrong here but the motor bike is also travelling too fast for the road conditions and contributed to this incident. As a motorist we are always being told to "THINK BIKE", its about time some motor-cyclists started to "THINK CAR".

Clearly didn't digest the basic request of Mirror -Signal -Manoeuvre whilst learning to drive.. Attempting to undertake slow moving traffic, switching lanes without regard
