Just seen this moron on a bike honking the car parallel to me on the outside lane of the A3. Three lanes of traffic all doing the speed limit and he wanted to get past so he could break the speed limit. He finaly shot past by weaving in between the car and mine and then started wildly gesticulating that the other driver should have moved into the middle lane causing me to break concentration. Massivly dangerous and the irony is that I met him at the traffic lights at tolworth. He had got no further. He then did the same thing on Kingston road and an yet again I was just behind him at the ewell west traffic lights. What makes bikers think that they have the right to ignore the rules of the road I dont know... courtesy seems to be something they are also oblivous of
I think it's wrong to tarnish all motorcyclists on the basis of a potentially bad element. It's no different to being run off the road by an irate trucker, then accusing all truckers of being irate. It lacks balance. Some people are just idiots, regardless of their mode of transport. When I venture out on a bike I get wise cracks for stopping at red lights, giving way, cycling on the road instead of the pavement, etc. I just wash it off with (what some might disagree with), a two-fingered salute. For I know, there is good and bad in all road users - motorcyclists included. Please don't prejudice your view by accusing all of them, it's not fair, don't you think?
I know what you mean about motor cyclists attitude. I live in a rural area, every sunny weekend I can expect hordes of bikers belting through our village and no word of a lie some must be doing well over a ton, the road is a 40mph. Woe betide any car drivers who dare to delay them in any way by keeping to the limit and force the bikers to slow. Worst of all I find that most of these bikers tend to be in their 50'S and 60's, more than old enough to know better. These same menopausal, Viagra gang of pensioner thrill seeking tossers are the first to complain about youngsters speeding in their little 1.2 Corsa's.
