You’ve really exaggerated the incident there - you forgot to mention that you thumped the side of the van. The driver also did not get out of his van or take a swing at you- if you must have a rant at least be truthful

If ever you feel violence is imminent and you can't get away, make sure you're standing on the pavement. This way they approach you as a pedestrian and the law seems to take this a lot more seriously i.e. it is much harder to try and pass it off as a 'traffic' incident.

p.s. Stu I know this may also sound counter intuitive to some, but if you have any more updates here then don't fall into the trap many people make, of cursing, accusing and defaming. Just post observations. You see, some devious drivers try and use this as a means of mitigating or absolving their wrong-doing. If you ever record something on a video try to just observe and then make the video unlisted. Let's hope whatever clown thinks it's ok to go around assaulting people gets their comeuppance including the full extent of the law.

Driver did one close pass, causing me to scream (I'm on a bike) stopped, then verbally abused me as I passed, did another 'Punishment Pass' causing me to scream again. he stops, threatens me with violence, gets out and swings a punch at me, but misses as i've anticipated and cycled off, then drives back at me, aiming square at me with intention of hitting me from behind, luckily i can dive into a gap between 2 parked cars. other drivers around express shcok that he would have hit me had i not taken evasive action. very dangerous and aggressive individual.
