'Officers seeking driver of black hatchback who drove at fans leaving Valley Parade after draw with MK Dons'
A MAN was injured after a car was "driven at" Bradford City fans as they left a match at Valley Parade.
West Yorkshire Police are hunting the driver of a black hatchback-style car, believed to be a Mercedes A200, that supporters said forced people to jump out of the way as it drove along the carriageway and pavement in Midland Road.
The drama happened on Tuesday night as City fans left Valley Parade after the Bantams' 2-2 draw with MK Dons. Up to 4,000 supporters are believed to have been filing along Midland Road around the time of the incident.
One man, in his 60s, was in collision with the car and suffered leg and back injuries.
Police today said in a statement that they were called at around 10pm on Tuesday to a report of a black hatchback-style car driving erratically in Midland Road, Bradford.
"A further call was received a short time later to say a vehicle of similar description had been in a minor collision with a male in his 60s, causing suspected leg and back injuries.
"A crime has been recorded for an assault and inquiries are continuing to locate this vehicle, which is believed to be a Mercedes A200.
"Anyone with further information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference 13170096368."
One fan who saw some of the incident said: "It was mindless, a mindless act of dangerous driving. People like that should not be on the road.
"He had a complete disregard for anyone on that street. People were literally jumping out of the way.
"He was not trying to weave past people. He would have just bulldozed people out of the way."
Witnesses claimed the car, which is believed to have had two people in it, was travelling between 30mph and 40mph at the time.
Another supporter said: "He has driven at the fans. People had to jump out of the way. It was scary."
just seen this car on moore ave bradford .weaving on both sides of the road and taken over me on the inside .almost hit my car it was that close and looking in my rear view mirror i saw it on both sides of the road taking over other cars at high speed .they were two pakis in the car . video shows the car and how close it was .
A page about this car being for sale comes up on Google when searching for this reg but when you click on the page it's no longer available. Has this car been sold recently?

"The opening question [Feb 28, 2017]: Did anyone see the idiot speeding through people on Midland Road after the game? Lots of people chased the car but I'm not sure what happened from there.
He appeared to clip someone, was chased down the road so he went through a red light to get away.
The idiot was speeding on a road where lots of people were, there was literally people diving out the way
the speed he drove down midland rd its a miracle he didn't kill somebody.
Because the pathway is cramed even the Police park on the path meaning you have to walk in the road
The guy was a madman how nobody was killed or injured i will never know. Hope somebody got his number I have never seen anything like it
The driver WAS speeding, and people were literally diving out of the way. There was complete disregard for anyone on the road and a complete disregard for human safety, even human life. I've never seen anything like it.
He was going about 30 down the path... and then drove onto the road nearly hit someone and sped off. Don't know what he did before that to end up on the path...
Even if the people walking on the road are technically in the wrong, that doesn't justify accelerating through them and potentially killing people in the process. If you see someone jay walking and you intentionally accelerate to fifty miles an hour and run them over then you're still a murderer, even if they shouldn't have been jay walking.
He nearly mowed some people down on the crossing on Kings Road.
The lad that was chased it down Queens Road gave it a right Rory McRory hoof to the off-side rear . Hope it`s well dinted. Empty head.
The way I saw it someone was blocking him so he drove onto the pavement to get round them sending people scattering. Then when he was back on the road he accelerated to about 40 with people jumping out the way. Then went through a red light. So three crimes there for the chaps saying 'he was driving on the road'. Roger were you the driver?"
The thread has over 19 pages, but I hope this perhaps gives some kind of idea of what kind of prick we could be dealing with here..
Meesa saw his drive badly. Meesa think heesa need his licence revoked, okie-day?
