When I first saw this thought it sounded like a self important BMW driver. WOW it was. Didnt you realise you NEVER cross the road when a german car is in sight. They will accelerate at you then try to make out its your fault. They are important you know.

Did you step onto the zebra crossing, expecting all the traffic to stop for you? Pedestrians are supposed to wait for traffic to stop, before stepping onto a zebra crossing.

Many people don't. I always assumed that just because traffic from one direction stops, the other side doesn't have to? That the only place this would be so is on a test, for which they could fail you for not stopping. Confusing rules.

We can all copy and paste rules and regulations. It also states pedestrians must wait for traffic to stop before they start crossing
"Zebra crossings. Give traffic plenty of time to see you and to stop before you start to cross. Vehicles will need more time when the road is slippery. Wait until traffic has stopped from both directions or the road is clear before crossing. Remember that traffic does not have to stop until someone has moved onto the crossing. Keep looking both ways, and listening, in case a driver or rider has not seen you and attempts to overtake a vehicle that has stopped."
