This guy was seen disembowelling hedgehogs and ferrets and then cooking the entrails on a fire in the middle of the B4114.

You skank!

this person drove into Brakenhale school at night, tool pliers and cut free a bike that was left in the bike sheds, loaded it in back of their car and sped off! It was caught on CCTV. The person wore a sack over their head with one eye cut out.

I suspect that the car was following the traffic ahead and was about to pass the vehicles further up on the left, which would have taken 20 seconds to reach.

First of all. Yes they were idiots for undertaking.
But dont you use your mirrors. He must have been half way past you before you started moving over.
And the LH lane is obviously clear. Regardless of what is in front of you, if you have finished overtaking the car you were over taking you should have pulled over immediatly.

Camera car has taken 2 seconds to get to half way over, takes the undertaking car 0.5 seconds to pass the length...

I suspect that the car started to undertake just before the camera car committed and moved over - would certainly seem this way counting how long it takes to pass, together with how long the car moves over...

Love how people try to play the lane hogging card, this is 100% NOT lane-hogging - would only be lane hogging if no cars in front and the road was clear, as previously stated below...

Both these drivers need locking up in my opinion, won't be long before they cause a serious crash driving like this.

the only good thing is if they do there is previous evidence in the form of this site as to how they were driving.

As posted below - it's not lane hogging if cars are in front - the cars in front are lane hogging.

Irrelevant how long in the right hand lane as this isn't lane hogging if that's what you were suggesting...

“You should always drive in the left-hand lane when the road ahead is clear. If you are overtaking a number of slow-moving vehicles, you should return to the left-hand lane as soon as you are safely past.”

In this instance the road ahead wan't clear.

Rule 268

Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake.

Camera car has vehicles in front, and it's best practices to remain in the right when moving at the limit as a long line of traffic would indicate slower moving vehicles in the left lane, this is safe and taught because moving to the left could see you blocked in that lane.

Watch these 2x cars undertake on the M11, the first one (LT64 EKM) wizzed past when I was indicating to move over, the 2nd one (ART GT 69 ) was on my rear bumper while I was still indicating left, and when I started to move over decided to undertake me - they carried on trying to race each other for a few miles on the busy M11.

Both were in excess of 90MPH estimated.

Problem is the rudeness and aggressiveness of other car drivers, and as a result the reluctance to move over to the left is diminished as if you do, you are forced to slow your progress as nobody will let you out to the right hand lane like they are supposed to.

These kind of aggressive, inconsiderate drivers who block others moving over from the left to the right are themselves the cause of this kind of problem.

Until the other attitudes change, then drivers will always remain in the right hand lane until their way is completely clear.

Let's be honest, nobody wants to be stuck behind a lorry, and then boxed in because nobody lets you out...

The problem with motorists sitting in lane 2 unnecessarily (especially on 3 lane stretches of Motorway) is that you end up stopping everything with more than 3 axels (lorries, caravans, cars with trailers, some motorhomes) being able to overtake. These vehicles shouldn't be using lane 1 to undertake, but as they are by law not allowed to use lane 3 of a 3 lane road they have nowhere to go. This makes it hard for the vehicles in lane 1 to move out, so they in turn stay in lane 2 starting the sorry process off again!

How do you know that the camera car wasn't obeying the law and waiting for the cars in front to move over?

you also have to consider the angle of the lens, what appears to be mile away is probably very close.

And besides, I can fully sympathise with the drivers as people these days have attitude problems, if someone moving at the speed limit in lane 1 wants to move out, the number of times a driver in lane 2 will close the gap and block is a major problem, and why a lot of drivers stay in lane 2 - if you don't then you get blocked and end up flowing a lorry for miles, or just having to indicate and go.

Yes everyone is moving along at the speed limit - in the overtaking lane when there is nothing to overtake! The inside lane is obviously empty or these dim wits would not be able to undertake. If you pause the video right at the beginning (less than a second in) the lane is empty. Unfortunately from this clip we can't tell how long this had been going on. Maybe these cars have been following the camera car in that lane for miles. I don't condone what they are doing but would make it understandable in that instance. If there is nothing to overtake, use lane 1!

Ehm, yes you can...the Highway Code states it - I would agree with you if the road ahead was clear, but in this instance it wasn't - the camera car has done nothing wrong, the cars in front of the camera car have done nothing wrong - everybody is moving along at the speed limit.

Although it seems to be really difficult for the majority of drivers to understand, but in this country, we drive on the left. Had you been in the left lane, maybe these idiots would have been able to overtake on the right. This “the road wasn’t clear” is cobblers. The left lane (where you should be) is clear hence why you should be in it. You can’t stay in the overtaking lane just because there is a car half a mile ahead, that you may, at some point in the future, catch up with.

Agreed with that satatment and I suspect the driver moved over because the car was sitting closely which then decided to undertake as the car was moving over.

Insurance claim would have been awarded to the camera car and costly for the driver undertaking with that evidence.
