I'm not disputing the driver's error. What I am saying is, this kind of situation doesn't discriminate - many car drivers are well aware of the dangers of having a junction on an apex. Being angry is also natural, but as you say this is a particularly vulnerable mode of transport; if anything, it should be doubly imperatively, not to lose your cool. You lose you cool you lose your concentration.

p.s. I am not anti-cyclist (I ride myself). So please don't think I am having a go at the cyclist because I am not. I am glad everyone was alright.

It's a drivers responsibility to ensure, with extra caution in adverse weather conditions, to ensure it's safe for them to maneuver.

And put yourself in the cyclist (including motorbike riders) perspective - they are not protected by a metal cage that assists in the reduction of injury. So therefore, like any sane human being, when their life has been threatened/put at risk there is a natural instinct to be angry.

It's normal response unlike not checking the road is clear for you to pull out of a junction

It's a junction on a bend, with poor visibility - hence things like this happen, whether you're approaching on a bike or in a car. Your first reaction was abusive name-calling.

Look. I'm not saying you weren't right to be startled or that you didn't have priority. What I am saying is, try to be prepared for situations like this and expect them to happen, at any time. If someone is going out of their way to endanger your life then it's completely different, however it's impossible to know whether that was the case here - given the conditions I feel it would be less likely. You got to let it go mate.
