Why did the driver hoot his horn and pass the cyclist so close when there was no need, as there was nothing in the other lane?

There was a old couple waiting to the cross the road and this guy in the lambo was the only one to stop for them. Real respect to the driver. Unselfish, safe and always stay within the speed limits ☺️

Bikers don't pay insurance don't see why they can damage my car by squeezing down the side of it and i cant even take their reg plate to report them. They want to be able to go on the road and want plenty of space yet when we're stood in traffic its suddenly fine to come down the side of my car with only inches of space and even rest their fucking hands all over it like I'm a here to prop you up.

If bikers are going to be on the road then they should pay insurance same as everyone with a motorbike or car, van lorry, bus. They DO cause damage too! and there should have a way to identify them. If i clipped a biker driving too close he can report me. Yet if they decide it's suddenly OK to be so close to a car because it benefits them and goes into it i have to foot the bill because they don't have a way to identify them and they don't have insurance. You want equal space like a car then it should come with the same insurance costs.

Cyclist taking too much room and weaving. Then looks for a fight with the driver who was letting the cyclist know he was there with his horn. I think the cyclist was lucky with his behaviour on this occasion...

p.s. Look up the Highway Code.. the fucking reason you're supposed to give cyclist's room (I'm gonna let you learn to read better and find the actual distances for yourself), is clearly laid fourth. You complaining about wobbling is just utter bullshit.. some cyclists do wobble; some have to avoid debris; some have to swerve to avoid IDIOTS who think it's OK to close as pass as THEY want, and to hell with the consequences. Well fuck them and fuck you? You think this is harsh then try looking at the mess you leave when you run someone over..

Are you an actual idiot? The cyclist can use as much of the lane as they like. And weaving? The cyclist was pedalling (duh). And the horn WAS aggressive..so was the CLOSE pass..so was the ABUSE, which was INSTIGATED by the driver. And you think they were lucky for what? Are you advocating assault, all based on your own idiotic, pre-conceived notions of the Highway Code? Bully fucking who.. come back and try harder. If you're the driver, try VERY hard lol

All the room in world to ride on the path safely.
Another whinging cyclist
Untrained
Uninsured
Unlicensed

And above all self righteous.

Yes the car driver was slightly at fault but you the cyclist pursued him and I believe you wanted to escalate the situation so you could post your footage on FB or YouTube.

"All the room to ride on the path"
The road is far wider than the pavement and there are two lanes. There is more room on the road, which kills your argument immediately.

"Untrained"
Incorrect, I have cycle training.

"Untested"
Incorrect, I have a driving licence and two cars.

"Ininsured"
Incorrect, I have cycle insurance.

"Self-righteous"
There's nothing wrong with thinking/knowing you're right when you're right. You, on the other hand are wrong and still think you're right.

It is technically illegal but is down to the discretion of your local police force. They tend to take a strong line if someone is basically riding like an inconsiderate dick..if they're riding slow, and giving pedestrians priority (like they should) then this will limit (but not guarantee) the chances of prosecution. All this is because we live in a crowded country, in which many of our roads are hideously designed, sparing little or no thought for progressive alternatives to driving. That and the fact that even with (some) people cycling on pavements, this absolutely pales into significance in terms of injury or death compared with cars. Whether on or off pavements, you are far more likely to be seriously maimed or killed by a car than you are a bike - of course, this does not mean to say I advocate riding like a dick. I think the car driver was the dick here.

Get your facts right.

The pathway is irrelevant; so is the reference to training; same for license and insurance. I'll make it simple s othat even you can understand - a cyclist has every LAWFUL RIGHT to be on that road - and WITHOUT prejudice. Don't like it? Lobby or go live elsewhere.

The car driver wasn't pursued either; rather, the car driver pursued the cyclist - who had stopped a considerable distance away (I don't blame them) and was then verbally aggressive towards the cyclist. A little child in a grown man's body. The driver escalated all this but luckily for him the cyclist was passive to his abuse. Oh, and the bleeding obvious fact you conveniently forgot to mention in your entire post - that over-take was rubbish: too close, too aggressive (including horn). Try again maybe this time use some more brain cells instead of running on hate..

Can't even work out what the car driver's problem is since there wasn't anything noteworthy that happened prior to the horn. I can only assume he doesn't like cyclists very much.

Be mindful of Rab he often trolls, apparently. In this instance he's playing at victim blaming; this, despite the fucking obvious danger that driver needlessly caused. And Rab's implied sanctioning of assault and criminal damage.. Rab, just go back to bed lad. Your head is still full of shit from last night. Sleep tight.

2 little school boys squabbling. I can't see what the issue with either of them is here. Car driver perhaps shouldn't have sounded his horn but why does the 'camera warrior' cyclist carry it on? He appears to not realise that the cameras can be smashed as easily as he can.

First passes too close and tries to startles the cyclist using their horn - moronic driving.

Then stops and comes out with verbal abuse. However, he quickly seems to change tune the moment he realises there's a camera in a public place.

Also notice his "middle of the road" fallacy. You can clearly see that the cyclist wasn't in the middle of the road; that they were using the recommended (and perfectly legal) position by all respected cycle craft authorities: primary.

That driver could have gone round him (he had enough chance) or stayed behind. Nobody says it's easy but nobody says you have to act like an arrogant child throwing his rattle out his pram. You were abusive from the start and it seems to me your ego is bigger than your IQ. Note: I am not the cyclist in question. I am just someone who thought this video might be of interest. I think your driving and your attitude are both summed up in one word: dire.
