This was simply a protest. He was under no threat or harm. He had every opportunity to drive FORWARDS, however he chose not to; he instead chose to use his vehicle as a weapon. The driver wasn't being attacked here - it was the other way round. And this "if you are tough enough to go around intimidating working class people"..are you on something? A bit of the happy pipe, perhaps? You try and turn this into a ridiculously-loaded argument, twisting it to suit your view and not the view of what actually happened. The police did step in. Good job someone did before this loon had chance to run people over. And listen tough T.. if you think you can go around running people over for peacefully protesting alongside a working class person (oh the nerve), then you are the problem. First of all this driver entered the works' lane by reversing down it after entering it backwards from the east side and in breach of traffic management agreement. Then he attempted to reverse into the site, was stopped from doing that. Again, another breach. Then he didn't heed the call to stop reversing, and continued recklessly, twice, causing a hazard to everyone stood behind the truck. Only after that did a protector climb onto the truck while the police dealt with the reckless driver. This driver deserves to be in the top ten worst drivers of January. It's a mercy no-one was injured.

Franking is not right... it's not particularly wrong either... like so many things involving environmental issues it is needed for economic growth and sustainability for the country, especially following brexit. Unfortunately this could be at a great cost to the world as we will be taking large amounts of of the most potent greenhouse gas out of the ground and releasing it into the atmosphere where it will contribute greatly towards climate change. The less gas we pull out and use the better and it's a shame that big money companies like cuadrilla etc don't have the "cohonas" (for want of a better term) to invest heavily enough into sustainable resources such as tidal energy solar energy wind energy biofuel etc for it to work. That said the country needs jobs and needs to curb the importation of essential fuels and unfortunately economic benefits alost always outweigh the environmental ones. As for the protestors in this scene, what were you protesting for... and why... your message was empty and useless and qlooked to me more like a chance to vent and do a little rioting at the cost of an everyday workers sense of safety, security and integrity. I think you need to take a long hard look at yourselves and sort it out... who did you vote for? What did you vote for? And who is really to blame for whatever issue it is you were protesting about because this display of animosity didn't make a dent and was a complete waste of time. Under what authority was the driver told to stop? The authority of a crowd of angry protesters... how do you imagine the driver would have felt intimidated in his vehicle?
