I was travelling down a 40mph road into the Great Park housing estate in Newcastle upon Tyne. I approached the roundabout and, as there were no cars on, entering or approaching the roundabout, I pulled out in the right hand lane. I saw a black car in the distance to my right hand side but it was nowhere near the roundabout. They were so far away from the roundabout that I couldn't even guess what speed they were travelling. Just after I entered the roundabout I saw blinding headlights from my right side and heard a loud revving noise as if someone was accelerating heavily. The black Nissan VK66 XKM suddenly entered the roundabout and was going much faster than 40mph, in fact I would say they were going at least 60-70mph. They cut in front of me, no attempt to stop and obviously thought that I should have given way to them despite them being nowhere near the roundabout when I entered it and also the fact that they were going way too fast. They drove right past the front of my car, swerved and struggled to control the car. I decided to follow them to catch the registration number. They continued to drive straight ahead into the other part of the housing estate, flying over the speed bumps in a primary school zone of 20mph, and slamming their brakes on to avoid oncoming traffic. They then served around a taxi that was pulling out and flew into the community centre car park, cutting across the lanes as they entered. I'm guessing they live on the estate and were attending a gym class that they were late for!!
