Rather than keep at a safe distance the cam car continued to edge forward. If the car in front had had to emergency brake there is no way the cam car would have stopped in time..the thinking distance is practically non-existent.

I agree. The cam car is tail-gating and I'm speculating the driver in front did a brake check to remind them to "back off". Most people don't like being tail-gated. The other driver also moved over once they'd passed the truck. I think the cam driver needs to take a chill pill..
