Yep I know as I've contacted them when it's happened previously but I didn't have time to wait this time.

I've contacted the council to repaint the white line as it's slightly obscured due to road repairs.

So this arsehole decided to park, illegally, across a dropped kerb, on a solid white line, blocking my driveway and preventing me getting my car off my property to get to work this morning.

Don't know who you are buddy but the council and police will know about you soon when I send them the evidence.

You could have cost me a days pay, instead you just cost me a taxi fare to work and bus fare home, £15 in total.

Whoever you were visiting I hope you enjoyed your overnight stay and if you've recently moved into the street, I hope our paths don't cross again.

Now defined in law as an offence
Do not park in front of a dropped kerb. Full stop.
Regardless of whether a car is in or out of the driveway

You are entitled to call the police (although it won't be treated quickly)
You have a right to access the road from your driveway (the police can organise a tow/lift of the offending vehicle

BUT you don't have a right to park on your driveway - meaning once you've gone wherever someone can block your driveway and there's very little you can do about it - although the police might help but legally they can't do nothing.
