A 'SEA Transport' articulated lorry driver that decided that on exiting a lay-by on the A14 near St. Ives, the 'GIVE WAY' signs (one on either side of the lay-by exit) and the give way markings painted on the road surface did not apply to him. Instead he proceeded to slowly pull out of the lay-by about 50m in front of me when I was travelling at around 65MPH. As there was a stream of faster traffic in the right-hand lane I was forced to brake hard to about 30MPH to avoid a collision. When I did get the opportunity to pass this vehicle I sounded my horn as a sign of my displeasure at his dangerous driving - only to be greeted by him giving my wife (in the passenger seat) 'the bird'!! What a charming person!!!
I have sent a complaint to the company concerned, who initially seemed to be interested in taking action and asked me for further details. However, even though they now have a copy of the dash-cam video, and associated GPS readouts during the incident, they now seem to be doing nothing about their driver as I have heard absolutely nothing else from them.
I therefore am now outing the dangerous driving of this 'so-called' professional driver!
Amazingly courteous driver. He stopped his vehicle, donned a high-viz and controlled the traffic whilst a mummy duck and her ducklings crossed the road.
After which, a friendly wave and a smile really made my day
I had just joined the road on my bike when the driver of AY09MAX (Arriva Bus 1501, route 150 to Selby) failed to give way. I had to brake to accommodate him forcing his way out, even though I had right of way. Oh wait, I'm just a cyclist aren't I?!
In Sainsbury's car park going into do my whopping and minding my own business, was approached by the driver of this car who offered me a leaflet about his business. I politely said no thank you, he then told me to F off and shove it up my proverbial. Not content with that, continued making comments as we went round the shop. People of Ipswich who drive Saabs, watch out for this very angry little man who clearly does not understand how to win new customers.
Not a bad person. Helpful and polite. Abit green, maybe a new driver. But they have a positive can do and get it done attitude. Never slacking. Only issue is could learn abit more but that will come in time. Maybe loose some weight. 🙄 but a few could heed that advice.
