Indicators. Manufacturers fit them for a reason. They are particularly useful in situations where someone is going to turn, but because of other road users, can't get out of your way, otherwise, taken by surprise, you may end up rear-ending them.
I mean, it's not like they've been made difficult to use, They are just in front of the steering wheel, near enough to be flicked on with a fingertip without letting go of the wheel, but far enough away not to drag on your knuckles.
