or should I forget the above and just use

Come on...how far would you have got with that bus (+ other traffic) in front on single carriageway through 20mph roadworks? Ever heard of "forward planning"?
And yet you still wanted to risk overtaking/close pass potentially injuring or even killing an innocent road user
