And I would argue it was a natural reaction to YOUR agressive behaviour. The cyclist was acting under shock, and duress.. you were under no threat from them. You were bombing down the road not paying attention.
Could it have been the case the driver, through their own negligence, was concentrating solely or mainly on over-taking your wife?
Or was
Whatever the case, their speed is clearly significant as shown from the footage. Indeed. The footage was significant enough for an otherwise over-stretched and at times, dispondant police force to swiftly send the driver a Notice of Intended Prosecution.

I no this guy aswell nick my name is anomous because he almost run me over in this area I don't no his name all I no is that I have been told about this man causing trouble and smoking in this disability car and I am a driver for over 30 years I live near this area near the brackens pub I'm 63 years old now I can't deal with this kind of driving wheel spins and loud music and my grandson is 12 and he has been woken up by him the other night on Saturday night can some one report him to the police he looks to be in his 30,s or 40,s and I smell canabiss or some kind of vape in it I no his name by some one of his nabours who hates him over the road near the co op.

It's worse that just parking badly. They actually think the driving bay is the bit shaded blue.
