It is an incredible painful way for a dog to die, horrendous actually
If it’s just a dog to you then perhaps you should rehome it and give it to someone that will Iove it like family and wont be just a ‘dog’

I hope these idiots don't have children because clearly they can't even look after a dog. Any children they have need to be on the 'At Risk' register because there is clearly something wrong with these people.

Name and shame always and get the dog taken to a safe place, we all have to address this as its only going to get hotter....what is wrong with people who think this is acceptable, huge fines and prison...get tougher with these people....This is URGENT....

May well be worth reporting this to your local Force, they will probably have a fraud unit that deals with this king of offence.
