I totally understand where you are coming from. Too much of this tailgating goes on now. I reckon the majority of drivers have been victims because it is too common.
Sounds like you need to get a better handle on what your children are doing, rather than suggesting it's the vehicle your kid hit with his ball is somehow to blame?
When confronted he says 'ok' and carries on like nothing happened.
If the kid cyclists had started to cross they would get mowed down by this driver.
