I drive this road every day and there is always some berk going down that slip road to the end and cutting back onto the motorway.
As for this, the driver of the silver car is clearly a mental case. shame they didn't lose it into the barrier.

You put a magic cone outside of your house on the public highway to reserve the space? Do you have special rights or powers to prevent lawful use of the public highway? Most people don't have these powers. Are you special in some way?

You purposely speed up to stop them from overtaking.
If they want to drive like idiots let them go passed and carry on. If they had collided head on into another vehicle YOUR driving would have been a contributing factor.
I hope you have taken this to the Police and recieved the caution you deserve.
As for calling it a knackered old transit, have you listened to the poor farty sound your car makes when you accelerate?

Just in case you think I'm unreasonable, this is the next day...
I stopped to let cars through as I could see I was going nowhere and would just block the road up. I move off, more start coming so I slow again, fair enough as I don't have to stop or brake sharply. I know if I stop people may think I'm parked even though my lights are on, but they just keep coming.
Once I've judged there's enough room for the Hyundai to pull in, I accelerate and sit further out to stop any thoughts the BMW driver may have to take the mick too. You may be able to see he's clearly not happy.
Hopefully this also shows two cars could never pass at the same time too.
