I agree with the instructor. We all had to learn once and were hopeless right at the beginning. It doesn't hurt to wait for a few seconds while the learner makes his manoeuvre.

idiot does not know how to drive, was crossing the street and he pulled out of nowhere without indicating and when I tried giving him a look of concern he drove right off, again without indicating. Reckless driver alert
