To be fair, it is a legitimate problem that UK parking spaces are too narrow for modern cars, especially SUVs.
I usually park at the end of the car park and walk, because I drive a modern jeep and you just can't get back into the fucking car if someone parks next to you :D
I never park like this, but I can see why people might want to. The bigger problem is that we don't give enough parking space in the UK. There should be legislation about this. In the USA you get parking spaces EVERYWHERE with space to get in and out easily, like you might have seen if you've been to costco in the UK.
