driver of the camera car doesn't even apply the brakes until after the "offending" car has completely cleared the camera car's intended path of travel... nothing to see here, move along.
It was the woman's responsibility to check it was clear because she was pulling out onto a main road.
As we see her only put her seat belt on after the incident, it's likely she didn't notice the cycle because she was distracted by something else, maybe putting her purse away, handling a drink or snacks, fiddling with her phone etc. otherwise wouldn't she have already fastened her seat belt?
To make matters worse, she left the scene of an accident without exchanging details.
She knew full well she was in the wrong but had the audacity to say the cyclist was speeding. If she really thought the cyclist was at fault, why didn't she get out her car and check for damage to her own vehicle, as one usually would?
There are too many people on the roads who make mistakes and then refuse to own up to them. If you mess up, put your hands up and admit to it instead of being a wimp and trying to blame others.
I've seen some RLJ's but using that as an excuse to divert facts is beyond childish
Fact is she failed to give way
Fact there was an accident
Fact she should provide her details whether injury/damage or not - it was an accident and needs to be reported if requested by any party.
Fact she failed to stop and give those details
Fact she had no concern of the cyclist
Fact she wasn't wearing her seatbelt
Now if you still want to point out where this cyclist jumped the RED lights then please report it to the police I'm sure they'll tell you they will look into it whilst turning their back to you and laughing so hard a little fart pops out
