This Shorts lorry decided that rather than just wait behind the car parked on his side of the road for a few seconds while I passed he would pull out directly in front of me, forcing me to do an emergency stop. He then purposefully parked his lorry in the centre of the road (see photo) and made rude gestures, rather than back up and allow myself and the cars behind me through (Please note I was unable to back up due to the queue of cars behind me).
The driver then exited the cab with a large Maglite style torch and threatened both myself and my heavily pregnant wife, whom I was taking to the hospital at the time.
I would encourage you all to avoid this company (http://www.shorts-group.co.uk/) as their workmen are happy to brazenly threaten a woman seven months into her pregnancy with a huge torch in broad daylight in front of onlookers.
Same old story, little guy in a big Audi. Constantly shifting between flooring it on the gas and slamming on the brakes means he can't afford indicator bulbs. With the level of tints on his windows it's clear he doesn't want to be spotted in such a dull, mundane car and compensates for this by pretending to drive like a racing car driver - minus the skill, practice and professionalism of a racing car driver. So just driving like a pratt really?
My previous comment got deleted for some reason. Cycling to work, driver of this Land Rover Discovery passed really close. When I waved a 'leave more room' gesture he stopped and shouted "Get on the ****ing pavement you ****". There's obviously no cycle path there so clearly someone who thinks bikes should not be on the road.
This driver is one of the few who understands and puts into practice the rules relating to cycle safety. On my commute there is a section of cycle lane that is permanently parked in. This driver anticipated that I would be pulling out into the main traffic flow on a bike, stayed well back as I took the lane to pass the unlawfully parked vehicles and waited until I had pulled back into secondary position before passing me. If all drivers were this considerate, our roads would be much safer for drivers and non-drivers alike.
THis total idiot cannot drive safely and likes to slam his brakes on while driving at 40 to scare the car behind him. I hope the police catch up with this idiot very soon. also very rude and i hope he gets his just desserts . The incident happened between Sale and Stretford in Manchester during rush hour traffic.
