Crazy. Also, I am not trying to victim blame the cyclist in front here, just saying this - incidents like this are the reason you check your surroundings especially at junctions. You need to know what's happening around you as best as possible and a single glance often can and will, save your life.
This gormless mutant nearly rear ended my works van while flying up behind me trying to undertake a line of cars at speed. I see behaviour like this so often these days, some scrubber picks up a 10+ year old BMW on its last legs and thinks they own the road. At least karma's already got you driving that poverty spec chavkart as punishment so there's some justice in the world after all.
Older 'gentleman' in a bright orange Renault who certainly is no gentleman. Tailgating in a 30mph zone, where I was doing the speed limit in the right hand lane, as I was soon to be turning right. Then he undertook making an obscene gesture, which incidentally is anatomically incorrect when directed towards me, and this said more about him, as he looked well practised. He then had to brake because of a car in front, dropped behind, then caught up again as I was making my right turn and beeped his horn aggressively. What a charming man.
