These Hackney carriages are notoriously expensive. I got one a while back and it was so expensive I had to get out and continue my journey on foot. And competing, legitimate firms would have have taken me the whole journey for less. The driver wanted £9 when I wasn't even half way back and other firms would have charged about £4.20 max for the WHOLE journey. The meter in the black cab was running like water. Never again. I hope you find some solution the alleged problems involving this driver.
