This lady driving this Fiat panda literally hit me while I was walking along in st Ives. It was a cobble path road with no pavement and there were so many people walking in the road. She drove into the back of my leg and hit me quite hard. I spoke to her through the window and told her she'd hit me and asked me to stop. She sped off.

If it's that dark that you can't see what you're doing then why not stop at home until it turns light? Left or right it doesn't matter, just don't drive down the middle.
