The driver of this car is a nutcase and shouldn't be allowed to walk the streets let alone get behind the wheel of a car. Look at the way he jumps the queue to begin with and then he decides it's time for some road rage - who does he think he is?
The cyclist didn't even hold this driver up as there was a traffic jam ahead anyway so the bike rider was just waiting behind the other cars. The driver must be really stupid not to realise this.
At the point he started hooting is horn, there were roadworks to the left and traffic going in the opposite direction to the right, so how did he think he could overtake the cyclist.
People like this really are a danger. Imagine how often he must behave like this and get involved in road rage. Luckily now more and more drivers, motorcyclists and cyclists have dashcams and helmet cams, there is proof when road rage incidents like this happen. I just hope the police will act and not allow scumbags like this one to get away with this road rage any longer.
Good call for the cyclists to keep calm and not confront this fruitcake. Who knows what could have happened if the cyclist took this man to task on his bad driving. With an attitude like his, I wouldn't be surprised if he hit would retaliate by knocking the cyclist of his bike and then failing to stop. These hooligans don't think of the consequences. I hope the police catch up with him soon and prosecute him for something, whether it be dangerous driving or a public order offence. It's good that this guys actions have been documented because I'm sure he has these confrontations all the time so now the next person who suffers this mans road rage can find this video/report on the Rate Drivers website.
If anyone is wondering why so many of us have been put off cycling.. then this video is just the tip of the ice-berg. I'm NOT saying all drivers are bad or all cyclists are angels. What I am saying is this country as a whole has issues when it comes to commuting. There a (sizeable) minority who seem to think they own the road and that anything goes, including making up their own laws. It's too dangerous on a bike. When I am in other European countries I see far, far less of it (if any). They learn to share the roads and treat each other as equals instead of treating cyclists like insignificant rubbish that MUST be over-taken at ALL times. The standard of driving I see over here (in the UK) is simply appalling.
Nice car thought he was going to speed because he has a fast flash car but drove carefully
