If anyone is wondering why so many of us have been put off cycling.. then this video is just the tip of the ice-berg. I'm NOT saying all drivers are bad or all cyclists are angels. What I am saying is this country as a whole has issues when it comes to commuting. There a (sizeable) minority who seem to think they own the road and that anything goes, including making up their own laws. It's too dangerous on a bike. When I am in other European countries I see far, far less of it (if any). They learn to share the roads and treat each other as equals instead of treating cyclists like insignificant rubbish that MUST be over-taken at ALL times. The standard of driving I see over here (in the UK) is simply appalling.
The incident with this motorists happened in Mitcham, South West London, located within the London Borough of Merton. According to the comments on the YouTube video, the uploader/cyclist has reported this to Metropolitan Police Roadsafe London - http://content.met.police.uk/Site/roadsafelondon
There are too many drivers like this on the roads today. The video posted online starts with him cutting into a queue at a fairly high speed and with no indication. It just gets worse from there.
What is it with these pricks who think they're gangsters. I encounter them regularly on the streets of London driving like lunatics and then getting aggressive towards whoever is in their way. Cunts the lot of them.
