Why are you staying in the outside lane when the other two lanes are clear? The driver should not have pulled in front of you, it could have caused a serious collision, but he was obviously annoyed at you hogging the outside lane.

Get your insurance company to deal with it. Let his employer have the messing about to do. Wing mirrors aren't exactly cheap nowadays and you'll need a courtesy car to go about your day while it's in for repair.

And agreed it's up to him to stop, and it's not as if he couldn't see the long line of cars both in front and behind - he was just impatient and decided that his delivery was more important than others lives - could have been hell of a lot worse.
Imagine if it was a family with kids, and they had been driving a car that was wider - could have been hell of a lot worse than a broken wing-mirror.
Still it's on him and it's his 7-years bad luck lol
