Parked diagonally? The Micra wheels look quite parallel to the white line actually. The red car, on the other hand, is basically touching the white line, parked too far over to the left of the parking space. The photo shows the exact opposite of the story you're telling!!! lol
maybe next time you shouldn't pay £10,000 for a car that you can't park. Buy a £500 Micra instead, and then it doesn't matter too much if it gets knocked about :)
to me it looks like you gave the wrong signals and position, you were in the centre of both left and right and you didn't indicate until you were coming out. (can hear it in the video)
you can see the van slow down just before coming out and then pull out because you weren't signalling at the time.
I don't see what others are saying about sudden acceleration - looks pretty much the same to me.
The van should have been paying attention, I know the road as well and you can see right up the road - the driver of the van was a chancer and could have caused a nasty accident.
