Does anyone know the current status of this vehicle...? As of sometime in 2019 the DVLA vehicle enquiry site has been saying "vehicle details could not be found" and on here the MOT history shows as it last having had a valid MOT in June 2019, yet also says it's taxed and that its tax is due in May 2020...
It moved out of its original area (first owner 2004-2008 and second owner 2008-2011) in August 2011, the third owner owned it from February 2012 to December 2014 when it was sold to the fourth owner, also in the vehicle's second area, who owned it until early 2018 when he sold it to its fifth owner who owned it briefly but then it had no MOT from February to June 2018 when it seemingly had a lot of work done and was once again back to a clean MOT pass, so I'm guessing its now in its third area with its sixth owner on a private reg, rather than scrapped...?
Stubborn Driver of Skoda Octavia DG10BOH in Stand-Off with Camper Van Owner
We were in th car behind the camper van patiently waiting for someone to move. After a few minutes with no movement, I got out of the passenger seat to see what was happening. Two drivers were in a stand-off, and neither would move. To be fair, there was probably enough room for the camper van to squeeze past. On the other hand, this driver could have easily pulled a foot or two to his left, and allowed the camper to pass, but he believed he was in the right, because "the camper van had pulled out in front of him". If the camper van had been at an angle, I would have agreed that the camper van was in the wrong, but the camper van was parallel to the kerb on his onw nearside (left) of the road. In contrast, the Sloda driver expected to have right of way while driving on his offside (R.H.S.) of the road, contrary to the first rule of the Highway Code. I politely pointed this out to the Sloda driver, who was very reluctant to give in, and who proceeded to argue with me. By this time, there was a queue of about 10 cars behind us, and some waiting patiently in the distance coming the other way.
Eventually, with much finger pointing, and foul language, this driver pulled to his left enough fo the camper and others to pass. Just before this, I had taken out my mobile phone for this photo, which actually delayed things for an extra minute or so, while he demanded to know what I was doing and why, saying that he would not have his photo take, and if I took his photo, he would take my phone/camera, and... ( I do not recall all the rest of the rant, but it sounded like a threat of violence).
Congratulations, you win the "Plonker of the Day" award.
Apparently give way applies to everyone except this woman who decided to look, see me approaching and pull out right in front of me, then laugh when I beeper her. What an idiot. Get off the road
This fat idiot decided to slam his foot on the brakes to give a load of abuse to a driver behind almost resulting in a double decker bus rear ending them both doing 30 mph!
