Reminds of how some people act when I'm on a bike, including my electric bike.. tail-gating and other forms of aggressive behaviour. Makes little different if I'm in primary or going 25 in a 30 on a busy road.. must get past at all costs and screw everyone else. Well, Just fine and/or ban the clowns.
I would never consider taking a kid out on a bike, not that's it's illegal.. I just think this country is way behind certain other parts of Europe when it comes to bike awareness and sharing the road in general. A recent article mentioned how a cyclist fell on a pot-hole and was seriously injured.. along come the trolls blaming the cyclist as well as talking about non-existent "road tax". Some also wished death. When you have this kind of attitude on the road, behind tons of metal.. it's a risk you are not going to take. Sad yes, but this is the reality many LAW-ABIDING cyclists have to face on a daily basis..
