Whether or not you did something wrong, the silver Kia driver is an idiot because his driving as described by you could only have worsened the situation , and by actively hunting you for a confrontation makes him even more stupid, because you could have been even more agressive and much stronger than him, perhaps if he reads this it might make him think next time. If someone else does something that is potentially dangerous on the road it is far better to take avoiding action for your own safety.

Tailgated me for 3.5 miles, then when I slowed down, overtook me, then slowed right down to 24 mph in a 40 zone before then speeding away while clearly exceeding the limit.

Idiot on his phone while driving through the car park, completely ignoring any lines, almost hitting my car as he drove over the parking lines. Then drives into a family parking space with no child. Generic tramp/chav looking guy.
