Hope you are both alright. Can I ask, what is the alleged name of the delivery firm? I think people have a right to known. Also be careful of the Amazon message boards: I am informed there are people on there who work for certain interests, and will go out of their way to silence criticism even if it means lying about people and getting them banned from posting. Please keep us updated on this case. Take care. All the best.
The bus company will win in 98% of situations. If a collision takes place, the insurance company will very nearly always side with the bus company, whatever the situation. Never argue with buses or bus drivers. If you do, you'll be set to lose your no claims and see your premiums rise.
Oh, and if the bus driver had pushed the car out of the way with the bus. He still would have won. The law says give way to buses.
What a twat the Ford Focus driver is. The bus had right of way, as can be seen from the road markings (the Highway Code also stated that drivers should give way to buses anyway) but even if this want the case, bus drivers are not allowed to reverse buses without assistance. Regardless of any of the facts I've just written, there is plenty of space for the car to quickly pull in anyway, whereas there are three buses waiting in the other direction. Some people really are bloody selfish.
If that lorry couldn't get down that street nor could a fire engine....thumbs up to the lorry driver
