20:40, Feb 29 2016: Taxi reversed up a dual carriageway (A13 near Westferry, E14) at speed, nearly takiing out two pedestrians (inc. me!) crossing the road who had to leap out of the way.
There was stationary traffic further down the road, and the taxi driver ahad decided to reverse back away from it, so he could take a different fork. He sped off down the fork with his head down, while we looked at each other with a "I'm glad I'm alive" look.
I only heard him at the last moment - it's a noisy place and I was staring up the road looking for oncoming traffic while I crossed, as was the guy crossing the other way. Didn't expect a lunatic to be driving up the wrong way!
Must remember: look both ways - some drivers will kill if it saves 5 mins. This guy could have hit anything.
Parked on a path then said it was a suitable place to park as he is 78 and it is easier for him. Then proceeded to call me an idiot and to shut up. So I laughed
